Our client, a sophisticated Chicago-area bachelor, came to JamesThomas with a cosmopolitan eye and the desire to build a contemporary, energy efficient year-round vacation home. Our team envisioned a fresh, clean, yet cozy, approach to this ski-town getaway… designed to host large groups of guests sans the expected references to après-ski living.

For the Bachelor Craving a Clean Look

Our client, a sophisticated Chicago-area bachelor, came to JamesThomas with a cosmopolitan eye and the desire to build a contemporary, energy efficient year-round vacation home. Our team envisioned a fresh, clean, yet cozy, approach to this ski-town getaway… designed to host large groups of guests sans the expected references to après-ski living.

DINING ROOM / KITCHEN / LIVING ROOM

This home is designed for guests, so an open floor plan was clearly the way to go, anchored by floor-to-ceiling views of Park City’s ski slopes.

  • The contemporary furnishings offer a counterpoint to the rustic stone walls and panoramic views.
  • The owner’s spectacular art collection inspired the splashes of color throughout this shared space.
  • An open-concept kitchen was designed allowing the group – host included – to socialize as meals are being prepared.

GAME ROOM

A lower-level game room was built with the boys in mind. Featuring a pool table, shuffleboard, fireplace, full bar, and a 64” television – it’s an easy place to settle in.

  • Plenty of seating for large groups.
  • Our client is of Scottish decent, so small bursts of plaid throughout provide a good-natured nod to his heritage while also embracing a Western-style classic.
